June 19: “Slavery and Abolitionism on Cape Cod” presented by Dr. Michael Pregot

Many are unaware that direct slavery, both with Black and Indigenous people, was in vogue here at the Cape for centuries. His book reveals some basic facts and describes the work of ardent anti-slave opponents.

Dr.Michael Pregot is a retired school superintendent and university professor who now resides full-time on the Cape. His interest in Cape Cod maritime history has led to three published books.
